Water based so no solvents. Dries in about twenty minutes. Very durable tough finish. Not intended as the final finish. Use it as a basecoat to prepare the wood for a wide variety of other finishes. Designed primarily as the basecoat compatible with Acrylic Lacquer which, used on top of the sealer gives a durable water resistant attractive finish. Apply sealer with brush or cloth (safety cloth is ideal) and wait until it has gone hard Smooth and burnish with fine abrasive ideally Webrax 1500 grit
Apply the top coat to get the final polished result. Top coat can be spray acrylic gloss or satin
To get a very glossy finish burnish with Chestnut Burnishing Cream. Some turners have had very good results by using just sealer with nothing on top. They burnish the sealer (when really hard) with Chestnut Burnishing Cream to get a gloss with very good results. Wash out brushes in water quickly after use. When applying with a brush, brush slowly and carefully so as not to create air bubbles.
