A very hard scratch resistant, heat resistant, alcohol and water proof clear finish. It does not yellow and will build up to a high gloss. Very high build due to it's low solvent content. Extremely durable and long lasting - some items in our kitchen still look good after 20 years use. The only finish good enough for wooden wine goblets. Excellent for kitchen projects, bar tops etc. Based on urea formaldehyde resin. Mix one part hardener to four parts resin. Small amounts can be mixed at a time and will keep for a 2 days in a sealed jar (keep cold). It can be thinned down to give a protective but unobtrusive coating to pyrography pictures, marquetry etc. Can be coloured by mixing in Chestnut spirit stain.
