Hard plastic quality grinder mechanism made from hard nylon with aluminium shaft and drive washer to combat corrosion from the salt. Finished height of mill approximately 300mm (about 12 inch). Actual shaft length 300mm. 24mm hole suggested in barrel of mill. Outer grinder sits down in 32mm counterbore and is retained by plastic strap 38mm diameter. Chrome plated brass knob marked S.
It is possible to shorten the 3/16" square aluminium shaft by cutting down the bottom end and swaging the end with a hammer (like rivetting). Thread thought to be 2 B.A.
