Threaded insert to fit into the back of Patriot and Supernova chucks

Various internal threads are available to fit your lathe spindle. The maximum size of internal thread is 1,1/4 inch or 32mm.
External thread is always 38mm x 3mm

We usually include one insert in the price of a chuck but you will need an extra one if you have another lathe with a different thread or if your lathe has a left hand thread on the outboard side of the headstock. Patriot chucks come with a spanner so you can quickly change threads.

Also fits the insert version only of the Record (Teknatool) Supernova chucks and some rare examples of the insert version of the Record G3.

The insert will only fit into a female thread in the chuck 38mm x 3mm. It will not fit 1,1/2" x 6 tpi (Graduate) or 33mm x 3.5. For those large threads you will need an EXCERT or you will need to buy a directly threaded chuck. Left hand threaded inserts are unfortunately not available for Viceroy (Denford) lathes.
