Lathes in stock (usually)
If you visit the shop you can see most of these lathes on show and we can run them for you. You can take a lathe away with you as most are in stock. We are sometimes able to take your old lathe in part exchange. Most lathes are boxed (flatpack or as flat as they go) ready to fit in your hatchback/estate car.
"Perform CCL" Pivot head variable speed lathe £167.79. Chinese copy of the M900. Not bad for the money. We have sold plenty with few complaints!
Axminster M900 Pivot head variable speed lathe. Taiwanese engineering makes this a much better quality engineered machine which is worth the extra money for serious turners. £336.00
Axminster M950 Pivot Head variable speed lathe. Similar to the M900 but has more swing over the bed, heavier castings and a head which pivots and also slides along the bed to enable the lathe to be used in the corner of the workshop £383.44
Axminster M330 and M600 fixed head 6 speed lathes. These grand little lathes are perfect for the small workshop. With a powerful 1/2 horsepower induction motor they will make short work of even 10" bowls and are delightful to use for small turnings such as pens. They have sturdy cast construction and run quietly and smoothly. The M330 is easily carried about in a car so is popular with travelling demonstrators. They have the same specification except the M600 has a longer bed.
